About the place

Drumhalla sits in 46 acres of woods and gardens on the western shore of Lough Swilly, a short way from Rathmullan. The main house has 11 bedrooms and can be taken whole or split into three self-contained units, each with its own door and kitchen. The coach house next to it adds two more two-bedroom units. Fivestar.ie gives 16 bedrooms in total, but the unit breakdown on the same page adds up to 15, so we use the lower figure.

A path through the gardens leads to a secluded beach. The estate is also run as a wedding and corporate venue, and the listing pitches it at family reunions, hen parties and golfing groups. Whole-venue hire was listed at €3,600 to €5,100 a week, with off-peak weekends available.
