About the place

Dunowen House is about ten minutes from Clonakilty, near small coves and beaches. The main house has six en suite rooms and sleeps 15, and Orchard Cottage adds three bedrooms for five, giving 20 in all. It's let only as a whole, not by the room, and a music room holds rock memorabilia from Noel Redding, who lived here.

It's self-catering, with dinners and a private chef on request. Parties and events need the owners' agreement and carry extra charges; pets aren't allowed. Autumn and winter rates seen were from €1,250 a night, €3,500 a weekend or €5,500 a week, with a two-night minimum and weekly stays only in summer.
